ShoppingKansasCity.com Has Launched

As a domainer, who is also an SEO, who is also a web developer I have been spending my time developing and SEOing some of the properties in my domain portfolio. This gives some explanation to the posting hiatus that has come as of late.

I have several projects in the works, but today I am going to go ahead and roll out a Kansas City Shopping website that I believe is ready to hit the wires. Take a look and see what you think. As you will notice, this is an example of what can be done with a domain property in a relatively short amount of time. It has content, it has been SEO’d, and I am already sending it traffic.

The idea for the site is to drive traffic for some targeted shopping-related terms, specifically for Kansas City, so the site can get in front of a valuable set of visitors. Once that happens, the valuable traffic can be sold to those who want it but can’t get it on their own.

The domain name of the new site, ShoppingKansasCity.com, lends itself well to the overall SEO plan even though the name itself does not bring in much type-in traffic on its own. For those of you who are interested, the lack of type-in traffic is likely due to the order of the geographic qualifier in the keyword phrase and the overall number of terms in the targeted phrase. As I mentioned, regardless of the type-in traffic, I know that the valuable terms are still in the domain name and therefore they will bring along the weight that is afforded to URLs containing keyword-rich terms.

Take a look at the site if you get a minute and keep an eye out as I continue to develop out my domain portfolio in the coming days.
