I think Seth Godin may actually be on to us. He has written his second post in as many days on the topic of domaining. In his post, he mentions that we domainers used to buy, hold, then sell domains. He has noticed a trend towards domainers buying, building, and holding. You see what I mean? He is on to us.
To this end, there are still domainers who flip names, but Seth is right that several of us are taking the time to develop our properties so that we can charge more rent. Domaining is basically the Internet’s version of Monopoly and some people have started to take notice of the game. Now if someone would just give me Park Place and Boardwalk I would be all set.
