Blocking Domaining Ads with Google

Written by Jason Barrett.  Posted under Domaining

According to this article from Search Engine Land, Google is close to offering its publishers the opportunity to block their ads from being displayed on parked domains.

Here’s my take.

  1. Too bad these advertisers are not alerted to the conversion rates that these highly targeted and relevant domains are generating.
  2. Most advertisers are not aware of the difference between parked domains and developed websites.
  3. Many advertisers just care about volume, regardless of how they get it.  I’m not saying its right, but you’ve got to remember what kind of people are in charge of most of these marketing budgets.
  4. Many advertisers find it difficult to set up their ads, let alone toggling on and off these variable parameters.  That’s why people like me make good money in Internet marketing.  ;)

It’s too bad domainers are ahead of the game.  Keep building out those sites folks!
