Posted under Deleting Domains

These are a few domain names that are dropping today according to NameJet.

  • AtomicSugar.com – Cool name for branding.
  • BoatingAdventures.com – Potential brand name.
  • HeavenlyPleasures.com – Let’s keep it clean.  Brand potential.
  • JoyousMoments.com – Think this is a knock-off of Precious Moments?  Could be.
  • GeekFrogs.com – Potential brand.
  • JesusGuys.com – Surely there are some good Christian fellas out there somewhere that need a good name.
  • MommySews.com – Sounds like an informational site waiting to happen.
  • RoadExits.com – I’m allowed one name that makes you go hmmm…

Deleting Domains – 11/28/2007

Posted under Deleting Domains

I have reviewed the domains deleting via NameJet today and here is what I’ve found.

  • bhpgas.com
  • ashwear.com – Sounds OK.  It will need a site built around it.
  • beadspy.com – You can go a couple ways with this.  Will you take the high road or the low road?
  • 123words.com – Build out a site that centers on teaching kids how to read.
  • 4×4safety.com
  • afterzero.com – Sounds cool.  This is a brandable term for a business.
  • drcluster.com – There has to be a Dr. Cluster out there somewhere.  There is also a DR cluster that is technology related.  There are 24.9M pages retured by Google for “DR cluster” (without quotes).
  • lamodelos.com – Spanish for “the models”.  It’s time to add some non-English names to your portfolio.
  • quickcake.com – Google shows low volume (2 out of 5), but there are several opportunities here.

Domain Auction

That’s it for today.  Have fun with those auctions.

On the Road

Posted under Domaining

My posts have been a little less frequent than I would like them to be and I apologize.  I am doing a bit of traveling for Thanksgiving and that has left me without a chance to hit this blog.

You can check out the deleting domains list for yourself at NameJet.com and SnapNames.com.  You will have to wade through it yourself and find the good ones.  You don’t have to worry about me bidding against you for the next couple days.  Hopefully I don’t miss anything good.

I will try to post over the next few days, but can’t guarantee it will get done.  Happy Thanksgiving!  Hold down the fort while I’m gone.

Comment Spam

Posted under Domaining

This has nothing to do with domaining, but oh well.

I am not sure how many of you have a blog, but those of you that do will be able to relate.  How about that comment spam that rolls through on a daily basis?  It sure is interesting, isn’t it?

Deleting Domains – 11/16/2007

Posted under Deleting Domains

Back in the saddle again…

It’s been a couple days since I’ve posted deleting domain names and that’s mainly because I’m keeping all the good ones for myself.  Actually not, but it sounds good anyway.  The real excuse is the old fallback; I was too busy to post.  Or something like that.

Enough already!  What’s deleting that is worth considering?

Deleting Domains:

  • AffordableCoffee.com – It’s at $485 to join the drop auction.  Probably not much type-in, but would be a nice site if it was developed and SEO’d.
  • ArkansasHomeLender.com – Another one that will need to be developed.  The strong keywords in the domain will lend a nice amount of weight from an SEO perspective.
  • BeginnerPHP.com – If you know PHP and are putting together some informational products around that knowledge, then this would be a productive domain name.
  • BusterDouglas.com – I am sure Buster would rather own this name, but he has the same opportunity as the rest of you on this drop.  In case you don’t know or can’t remember, he is a boxer who beat Mike Tyson back in the 90’s.  Buster’s name boasts an Overture count of 399.
  • CaliforniaCookie.com – This sounds like a nice name for a business.  California is a big populous state.  I’m just sayin’…
  • ChildGlasses.com – My son wears glasses and he is not alone.
  • CreditBoston.com – I like the sound.  Not sure how well it will fly.
  • CurrencyCreator.com – Anyone good at graphic design could make this into a fun online game.  Who wouldn’t like to see their own face on money?
  • DogParkDirectory.com – Get a license for phpLD and have at it.  Dog parks are everywhere now-a-days.
  • HomeMortgageBanks.com – Home mortgages and banks make a nice combination.
  • KyotoAirport.com – There’s not an airport in Kyoto, but how many people actually know that?
  • RealSantaClaus.com – It’s that time of year and a site like this could go in so many directions.

Now go get’m!

Domain Names Throw Around Their Weight

Posted under Domaining

I keep getting more reinforcement on Google adjusting for keywords in a domain name.  Take a look at a Google search for “handyman” and see what you find.  Try another one for “plumbing“.  It is the same thing.  If you want to SEO your website, you should start with a good keyword-rich domain name.

The sites that don’t have the keyword in the domain still get by with a keyword in the page name.  Regardless, it is a good time to have a generic domain name.  Not only do they get type-in traffic, but now they are getting a little more love from the engines.

Deleting Domains – 11/13/2007

Posted under Deleting Domains

I’ve been reviewing tomorrow’s deleting domains and here is what I’ve come up with.

  • AllBoysSchool.com
  • AmericanBaseballCamps.com
  • AmericanSportsmanGuild.com
  • BaseballGloves.net – Notice the .net
  • BikerOutlaw.com – Sounds cool, doesn’t it?  Google shows average volume and zero advertiser competition.  Overture shows a count of 938.
  • CashSaverCoupons.com – $3,775 to join auction.
  • ChicagoHotline.com – $3,750 to join auction.  Not sure it is worth it, but someone thinks it is.
  • CityFans.com – Average volume, low competition.
  • HairyMoles.com – Nice huh?  Makes me think of Austin Powers.  Low volume, average competition, 144 count in Overture.
  • IslandMeditation.com – This might be a nice one for Frank Schilling.  The Caymans sound like a nice place to live.
  • RoadScooter.com – Average volume, average competition, 104 in Overture.
  • SteelersCheerleaders.com – Trademark grey area.  292 in Overture.  Developing the site could be fun.
  • SweetAlabama.com – 117 in Overture.

There are some decent typo names expiring tomorrow as well.  I will leave those up to you to find.  Good luck and happy bidding!

Deleting Domains – 11/12/2007

Posted under Deleting Domains

Sorry I’ve been offline a couple days.  I had a little bird hunting to do this weekend.  Good news for the birds and bad news for me; only one bird was harmed in the filming of this movie.

Back to the drops.  It’s still a little thin around these parts, but here’s what we’ve got.

  • CheaperFare.com – Should be able to dangle this one in front of the airline companies, but they probably won’t be smart enough to buy it.
  • Mispricings.com – I’m not in love with this one, but it has some potential.
  • NotebookCableLock.com – It’s going to run you $799 just to get in on the auction.
  • RefiningFacility.com – There are a few companies that could benefit from this name.  Buy it, hype it, and flip it.
  • TransmissionCompany.com – This is another name that is probably more valuable to a transmission company than it is to you for type-in traffic.

Bonus drop: InsuranceAdjuster.us.  If you like the .us extension then this name might be worth picking up.

By the way, don’t forget to subscribe to NameBait.com’s RSS feed.

Companies Who Get Domaining

Posted under Domaining

Would you like an example of a company out there who gets the whole domaining concept?  Too bad, you are getting one anyway.  Check out who owns hunting.com.

Nice work Bass Pro Shops.
